Prayer in the instant petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.47 dated 22.04.2024 under Sections 406, 420, 465, 467, 471 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station Lalru, District SAS Nagar (Mohali).

On 16.05.2024, while issuing notice of motion, a Coordinate Bench of this Court had granted the concession of interim bail to the petitioner and asked them to join investigation. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in compliance of order dated 16.05.2024, the petitioners have joined investigation and cooperated with the investigating agency.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Nirbhai Singh, has not disputed that there has been compliance of order dated 16.05.2024 vide which the petitioners have been directed to join POONAM RATHORE 2025.01.16 17:38 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh
CRM-M-24256-2024 -2investigation. However, learned counsel for the State submits that the petitioners have been evasive qua the role played by the co-accused in the crime in question.
On a pointed query put to the learned State counsel as to whether the petitioner is involved in any other criminal case, he, on instructions, has replied in the negative.

In view of the above, the petition is allowed and interim order dated 16.05.2024, is made absolute subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) Cr.P.C./482(2) of BNSS, 2023.
