*** Harsimran Singh Sethi, J. (Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in respect of FIR No. 216 dated 03.07.2020, under Section 306 IPC, registered at Police Station City Faridkot, District Faridkot.

Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that though, the petitioner knew the deceased, Amandeep Kaur, but the allegations that she committed suicide as the petitioner refused to solemnize marriage with her, are incorrect.

CRM No. M-23795 of 2020 -2advance copy of petition, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. Learned State counsel submits that the allegations against the petitioner are clear in the complaint as well as in the FIR that the petitioner was in relationship with the deceased Amandeep Kaur and exploited her, but as he refused to marry the deceased, the said refusal let Amandeep Kaur to commit suicide.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record very carefully.

The allegations against the petitioner are of exploiting a minor girl on the pretext of marriage but later on petitioner refused, which led the minor girl to commit suicide. The allegations against the petitioner are serious. The challan is yet to be presented and in case, at this stage, the petitioner is granted the benefit of anticipatory bail, there is likelihood of influence of the investigation, in respect of an incident, where a minor has committed suicide.

In view of the facts recorded above, no ground is made out to grant the petitioner the benefit of anticipatory bail and the same is accordingly dismissed.
