This is a petition under section 438 Cr.P.C. seeking prearrest bail in a case registered under sections 323/324/148/149 IPC at police station City Batala, District Gurdaspur wherein bail-bonds of the petitioner were cancelled and surety bonds forfeited. It appears that petitioner was facing trial in the aforesaid case. He moved an application for exemption from personal appearance on 11.03.2013. As neither petitioner nor his counsel was available, bail-bonds were cancelled vide order dated 11.03.2013. Petitioner thereafter preferred pre-arrest bail application before Additional Sessions Judge, Gurdaspur. Same was also dismissed with the following observations:- "Case called several time since morning but none has appeared on behalf of the applicant/accused. It appears that the applicant is not interested to proceed with the present bail application. Hence, the present bail application stands dismissed in default. File be consigned to the record room. Lower court record be sent back forthwith."

CRM M-8515 of 2015 Petitioner has moved this court after almost one year of dismissal of pre-arrest bail application by the court of Additional Sessions Judge. No reason has been assigned for this inordinate delay. FIR was registered way-back in the year 2008. Petitioner has consistently defied the process of law. This petition is without any merit and is hereby dismissed.
