IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH Crl. Misc.M-8518 of 2015 Date of Decision: 17.3.2015 Satinder Singh @ Sonu Kanniwala @ Satinderpal Singh .....Petitioner Vs.

State of Punjab .....Respondent CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMESHWAR SINGH MALIK Present : Mr. Divjyot S. Sandhu, Advocate for the petitioner.

**** RAMESHWAR SINGH MALIK J. (ORAL) Petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in FIR No. 195 dated 24.12.2014 under Section 302 IPC registered at Police Station Goindwal Sahib, District Tarn Taran.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has been falsely implicated in the FIR, only on the basis of doubt expressed by author of the FIR, who was mother of the deceased. He further submits that there was an inordinate delay of one year in registration of the FIR and the petitioner deserves concession of the anticipatory bail.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, after careful perusal of the record of the case and giving thoughtful consideration to the contentions raised, this Court is of the AMIT KUMAR 2015.03.19 17:19 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

Crl. Misc.M-8518 of 2015 considered opinion that since the petitioner is the only accused in a case registered against him under Section 302 IPC, coupled with the fact that complainant has specifically named the petitioner in the FIR, no case for anticipatory bail is made out.

It is so said, because author of the FIR has levelled direct and serious allegations against the petitioner including the motive behind the crime.

In view of the above, no case for anticipatory bail is made out.

Dismissed.
