Petitioner Sarwan Singh has come up in this civil writ petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of appropriate writ/directions against respondents no. 1 to 3 for protecting the life and personal liberty of the petitioner as he apprehends danger at the hands of private respondents on account of some dispute inter-se between the petitioner and the private respondents.

CRWP No. 6231 of 2020 (O&M) -2Mr. Avtar Singh Sandhu, Addl. AG Punjab puts in appearance and accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents. Let copy of the paper book be supplied to him. After hearing learned counsel for the parties and perusing the records, admittedly as is elicited in the petition, the petitioner and the private respondents are having money dispute. The petitioner has moved the official respondents by way of representation Annexure P/1 and in the light of the same, official respondents are directed to consider and dispose of this representation of the petitioner in accordance with law expeditiously and ensure due protection of life and personal liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents. However, it is made clear that this will not come in the way of the official respondents for initiating any legal proceedings against the petitioner in accordance with the law.

The petition stands disposed off.
