* * * * * DEEPAK SIBAL, J. (Oral) (1) At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he restricts his prayer to the issuance of directions to respondent No.2-Deputy Commissioner, Nuh to finally dispose of the representation dated 15.04.2025 submitted on behalf of the petitioner to the Jail Authorities, District Jail, Nuh for grant of emergency parole to the petitioner to attend the marriage of his real sister which is scheduled for 05.05.2025.
(2) Learned State counsel has no objection to the acceptance of the afore alternate prayer made on behalf of the petitioner. (3) After hearing learned counsel for the parties and going through the record, we find that the decision on the petitioner's request for grant of parole has been unnecessarily delayed by the State which is also against the spirit behind the Haryana Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 2022. (4) In the light of the above, we dispose of the instant petition with a direction to respondent No.2 to take a final decision on the petitioner's request made on 15.04.2025 for the grant of parole, by 02.05.2025, in accordance with law.
