Seeking directions to transfer the investigation in case bearing FIR No.749 dated 30.08.2016 registered under Sections 148, 149, 302, 379, 511 IPC at Police Station Sadar Karnal, District Karnal to some independent agency like CBI or Crime Branch, the petitioners have come up before this Court.

Notices are served upon the official respondents through the State's counsel. Given the nature of the order that this Court proposes to pass, neither the response of official respondents nor the issuance of notices to the private respondents is required. 3.

Counsel for the petitioners submits that he would be contended and satisfied if he is permitted to file a fresh representation before the concerned Director General of Police and the same be decided within the time bound manner. Given the petitioners' stand, the present petition is disposed of with a direction that in case, the petitioners file a fresh representation within one month from today, the concerned Director General of Police either personally or delegate the same to any IPS Officer under him, shall decide the same within two months from the date of filing of representation. It is clarified that such order must be a reasoned order, and the same be communicated to the representationists without delay.

Liberty reserved to the petitioners to file fresh petition or to take other legal remedies in accordance with the law, in case the petitioners are not satisfied with the outcome. 6.
