Apprehending his arrest in FIR No.172 dated 24.03.2026, registered for offences punishable under Section 209 of the BNS, 2023 (Section 174-A of IPC), at Police Station Panipat City; the petitioner has preferred this petition under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking prearrest bail. 2.

On 21.04.2026, the interim protection was afforded to the petitioner, subject to his joining investigation before the concerned Investigating Officer. Upon a request made by learned counsel for the petitioner, another opportunity was afforded to the petitioner to join investigation, vide order dated 20.05.2026.

It is the conceded position before this Court that neither the petitioner has joined investigation nor has deposited the costs, in terms of order dated 20.05.2026 earlier passed by this Court. In view of the contumacious conduct of the petitioner, this Court does not deem it appropriate to grant any further indulgence to the petitioner and deems it appropriate to decline the petition in hand. 5.
