The present third petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 0178 dated 24.09.2020 under Sections 21-C of NDPS Act, and Section 27-A of NDPS Act, 1985 (Act No. 61 added later on) registered at Police Station Bhattu Kalan, District Fatehabad.

Learned State counsel has stated that the matter is at a fag end and is now fixed for 16.03.2024 before the trial Court for recording the statement of accused under Section 313 Cr.P.C. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner though emphasizes on the ground of long incarceration of the petitioner and submits that appropriate directions be issued to the trial Court to finally decide the case PARUL 2024.03.12 18:10 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document expeditiously.

In light of the above, without adverting to the merits of the case, the present petition stands dismissed at this stage with a direction to the trial Court to decide the matter expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from today.
