By way of present petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner is seeking directions to respondents No.2 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family family members at the hands of private respondent No.4 and other local police officials, as they are threatening the petitioner and his family members with dire consequences.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition with liberty to take recourse to the alternative remedies, as are available to the petitioner, under the law.
