NARESH KUMAR SANGHI, J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 438, Cr.P.C., is for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner, Hardeep Singh, son of Gurdev Singh, resident of House No. 5354, Bhattian Bet, Tehsil and District Ludhiana, who has been booked for having committed the offences punishable under Sections 148, 307, 323, 324, 452, 506 read with Section 149, IPC, in a case arising out of FIR No. 182, dated 26.10.2014, registered at Police Station, Laddowal, Ludhiana.

Learned counsel contends that name of the petitioner does not figure in the FIR lodged at the behest of Sahil; no specific role has been assigned to the petitioner in the supplementary statement of the informant and in the statements of Kunal and PRASHANT KAPOOR 2015.02.19 17:57 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-862-2015 Chaman Lal; there was no motive on the part of the petitioner to cause injuries to the injured persons; the petitioner had no association with Pindi, a gang leader, who allegedly caused injuries to the informant side.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and gone through the material available on record. As per the allegations figured in the supplementary statement of the informant, Sahil, and in the statements of Kunal and Chaman Lal, eye-witnesses of the occurrence, it is clearly made out that the petitioner was armed with a Daang and actively participated in the occurrence. The petitioner and his co-accused have been booked for having committed the offence punishable under Section 307, IPC, etc. No ground for grant of anticipatory bail is made out.

Dismissed.
