CRM M-48789 of 2017
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH CRM M-48789 of 2017 Date of decision : 04.04.2018 Ravish Manchanda ....Petitioner V/s State of Haryana & anr.
....Respondents BEFORE : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJAN GUPTA
Present:
Mr. Rajesh Gupta, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Chetan Sharma, AAG Haryana.
Mr. KPS Dhillon, Advocate for respondent no. 2. RAJAN GUPTA J.
Petitioner seeks concession of anticipatory bail in a case registered against him under sections 406/420 IPC vide FIR No. 89 dated 28.03.2016 at police station Ambala City, district Ambala. It appears that petitioner has preferred a similar petition i.e. CRM M-17624 of 2016 before this court which was dismissed vide order dated 13.12.2016. Petitioner thereafter preferred a SLP before the Hon'ble Supreme court wherein following order was passed:- "It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he may be given liberty to approach the High Court again after depositing the due amount with the bank. The petitioner has prayed for three weeks' time to deposit the amount. It is open to the petitioner to approach the High Court for redressal of his grievances, as the High Court has not granted the benefit of anticipatory bail due to failure of the petitioner to make the due payment in spite of the time granted by the High Court.

CRM M-48789 of 2017 We make it clear that we have not commented on the merits of the case.
With these observations, this petition is dismissed." Resultantly, instant petition was preferred before this court. On several occasions, petitioner sought adjournments to pay the amount in question. Learned counsel for the petitioner today submits that petitioner is unable to remit the amount.
