IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH CRM-M-48825 of 2017 Date of Decision: 20.12.2017 Sunil Kumar and others ....Petitioners

Versus

The State of Punjab and others ....Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN Present: - Dr. Anmol Rattan Sidhu, Sr. Advocate, with Mr. Mahir Sood and Mr. Arun Willian, Advocates, for the petitioners.

RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for direction to respondents No.1 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent No.5 and his unidentified associates.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the purpose would be achieved if respondent No.3 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala, is directed to look into representation dated 03.12.2017 (Annexure P-3) moved by the petitioners, in a time-bound manner. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners and after perusing the paper-book, but without commenting on merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala, to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 03.12.2017 (Annexure P-3) after hearing the petitioners by passing a speaking order within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
