Mr. Bhupinder Gupta, Advocate for respondent No.11. **** P.B. BAJANTHRI, J. (Oral) Pursuant to the orders dated 23.04.2018 and 25.05.2018, on behalf of SIT one Sh. Surendra Lamba, Assistant Inspector General of Police, NRI Wing has filed status report on 05.07.2018. Counsel for the petitioner, after perusal of the status report submits that petitioner has no further grievance in the present petition. Therefore, he intends to withdraw the present petition.

2.) At this stage, learned counsel for respondent No.7 objected to Sandeep Sethi 2018.08.02 11:59 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-48863-2017 (O&M) -2the extent that report did not contain certain material which is stated to have been supplied to him. As a respondent, he cannot question the withdrawal of the present petition. Therefore, petitioner is permitted to withdraw the present petition.

3.) Accordingly, petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. 4.) However, dismissal of the petition as withdrawn would not come in the way of respondent No.7 in questioning the report dated 05.07.2018.

5.) At this stage, learned counsel for the state of Punjab submitted that pursuant to the order dated 25.05.2018, Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar was directed to be present in Court along with affidavit. On 06.07.2018, his personal appearance was taken note and thereafter, report also. In view of the withdrawal of the present petition, question of taking any further action against the Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar do not arise. (P.B. BAJANTHRI) JUDGE July 27, 2018.
