IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH CRM-M-48864 of 2017 Date of Decision: 21.12.2017 Darshna Devi and another ....Petitioners
Versus
State of Punjab and others ....Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN Present: - Mr. Amit Dhawan, Advocate, for the petitioners. RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for issuance of direction to respondents No.1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No.3 to 9. Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the purpose would be achieved if respondent No.2 - Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, is directed to look into representation dated 02.08.2017 (Annexure P-4) moved by the petitioners, in a time-bound manner. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners and after perusing the paper-book, but without commenting on merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 - Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, to decide the representation of the petitioners dated 02.08.2017 (Annexure P-4) after hearing the petitioners by passing a speaking order within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
