In the present petition, on 20.04.2026, following order was passed:- "i) By filing present petition, under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioners seek necessary protection of their lives and personal liberty in view of the fact that they are living in a live-in relationship and are under eminent threats at the hands of respondents No.4 and 5.

ii) It is noticed that Petitioner No. 1-Meena, is a resident of the State of Uttar Pradesh. Her parents, i.e., Respondents No. 4 and 5, are also residents of the State of Uttar Pradesh.

iii) Respondent/State is directed to ascertain how Petitioner No. 1 came into contact with Petitioner No. 2, who is residing in Ludhiana. Credentials of both the petitioners shall also be verified.

iv) List on 30.04.2026."

Counsel for the petitioners submits that both the petitioners have already got recorded their statements that they do not require any protection, and in view of this, she be allowed to withdraw the present petition.
