This is a petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail in a case registered against the petitioner vide FIR No. 237 dated 05.10.2017 under sections 379/411 IPC at Police Station Chheharta district Amritsar City.

Petitioner is stated to be in custody since 07.10.2017. It has been urged before the court that petitioner has been arraigned as an accused on the basis of suspicion. Admittedly, no witness has been examined till now. No useful purpose would, thus, be served by detaining him in custody. Accordingly, petition is allowed and petitioner be released on bail to the satisfaction of trial court subject to such terms and conditions it may deem fit to impose.
