(ORAL) Petitioner herein, inter-alia, seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.3 to decide the application filed by the petitioner-senior citizen under Section 23 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007, for cancellation of transfer deed No.6739 dated 22.02.2018 (Annexure P-3) within a specific period as the same is pending since 04.09.2018. 2.

On advance service of copy of the petition, Ms. AkankshaSawhney, Standing Counsel with Ms. Payal Mehta, Advocate, appears and accepts notice on behalf of respondent-UT Chandigarh. Issuance of notice of motion to remaining respondents is dispensed with at this stage as no prejudicial order is being passed qua them. 3.
