******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) Learned State counsel submits that 8 out of 10 witnesses have been examined by the prosecution and next date fixed in the trial is 16.01.2019 and the trial will be concluded shortly. In view of submission of learned State counsel, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the petition, submitting that the trial Court may be directed to expedite the trial. Dismissed as withdrawn.
The trial Court is directed to expedite the trial of the case and dispose of the same at the earliest, preferably within three months from the receipt of copy of this order, provided defence counsel cooperate by crossexamining the witnesses on the date they appear.
