1. The petitioners seek issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 4 to protect their lives and liberty as well as of other members of their families as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.5 to 7.

2. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners but without commenting anything as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Phagwara, District Kapurthala to look into the matter and to get the representation dated 9.5.2023 (although addressed to S.H.O. Police Station Satnampura, Phagwara) (Annexure P-7) examined qua the limited extent of the alleged threat perception of the petitioners as well as PANKAJ KAKKAR 2023.05.24 18:16 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
