(Oral) This is second petition filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.32 dated 09.05.2018 under Sections 498-A IPC registered at Police Station Rangar Nangal, Police District Batala, District Gurdaspur, the earlier petition i.e. CRM-M-25938-2018 titled as Ranjit Singh & anr. Vs. State of Punjab being dismissed as withdrawn qua petitioner no.1 vide order dated 14.06.2018.

On 20.02.2019, when this case was listed before this Court, counsel for the petitioner had stated that this petition under Section 438 CrPC has been filed with the sole motive that he will settle the dispute with his wife. Accordingly, the matter was referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court.

Criminal Misc. No. M-50035 of 2019 -2However, the matter has not been resolved between the parties.

Considering the fact that that very purpose of referring the matter to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court was to explore the possibilities for a compromise, but no such compromise has been arrived at between the parties, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition, the same being second petition for grant of anticipatory bail, which is not maintainable.

Dismissed.
