ASHOK KUMAR VERMA, J. (ORAL) Prayer in this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondents No. 4 to 7. On instructions from ASI Harjinder Singh, learned counsel for the State submits that the instant petition has been rendered infructuous as petitioner No. 1-Zoya @ Kritika Kumari, is happily residing with her husband-petitioner No. 2-Md. Sahid, at Mohalla Khushal Basti, Mana Road Malerkotla, District Malerkotla. Her statement in this regard has also been recorded by the police on 06.08.2022, wherein she stated that she is residing happily with her husband and her parents have no objection with her marriage. At present, they have no threat to their life and liberty. In view of the above, this instant petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
