***** RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing order dated 02.04.2019 of ld. SDJM, Kalka, whereby petitioner was directed to pay 20% of the cheque amount in complaint No.114 of 2015 dated 06.11.2015, under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

Heard.

The impugned order dated 02.04.2019 of ld. SDJM, Kalka, is modified to the extent that 20% of the cheque amount so ordered to be deposited by the petitioner shall be converted into a STDR of some nationalised bank, fetching maximum rate of interest in the name of the court to save loss of interest to the party, who shall finally be held entitled for the same by the trial court, and keep the original STDR SONIKA 2019.05.21 14:36 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
