(ORAL) In the present writ petition, the grievance which is being raised by the petitioner is that vide order dated 14.09.2018 (Annexure P-3), the Principal Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Department had already passed an order allowing the benefit of service, which the petitioner rendered in Punjab Women and Children Development & Welfare Corporation (PUNWAC) from 12.02.1980 to 20.04.1995 to be countable for the grant of pensionary benefits, but still, the benefits of the said service has not been extended to the petitioner for computing the pensionary benefits though petitioner has already retired from service on 30.11.2016.
Counsel for the petitioner states that for the relief which has been sought in the present writ petition, the petitioner has served the respondents with a legal notice dated 11.04.2019 (Annexure P-7), which NARESH KUMAR 2019.05.30 09:37 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
CWP-13319-2019 -2is still pending consideration with the respondents and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to the respondents to decide the said legal notice.
In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to decide the legal notice dated 11.04.2019 (Annexure P-7) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
