The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.0325 dated 3.6.2018 registered for the offences under Sections 323, 341, 506 and 34 IPC and (Sections 307 and 324 IPC, which were added later on) at Police Station Focal Point, District Ludhiana.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

A perusal of the record shows that as per FIR, the present petitioner is named in the FIR and stated to be armed with scissors and he had given 3-4 scissors blows to the complainant on the back of head, in the waist and left cheek etc. The weapon is still to be recovered. Cr. Misc. No.M-23079 of 2019 [2] petitioner, as per prosecution version, is the main accused. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, nature and gravity of the offences, I find that the petitioner is required for custodial interrogation, therefore, I do not find it a fit case where the petitioner is entitled for the benefit of anticipatory bail. Therefore, finding no merit in this petition, the same is dismissed.
