Paramjit Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Phagwara, District Kapurthala, the statements of parents of petitioner No.1Arti i.e. the girl, were recorded on 25.10.2020 and that they expressed that they have no objection as regards marriage of petitioners and undertook not to issue any threat to the petitioners in future. Faced with the aforesaid position, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition with liberty to approach this Court afresh in case the petitioners ever apprehend any threat to their lives and liberty at a later stage.
