This is a petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. seeking pre-arrest bail in a case registered against the petitioner vide FIR No. 200 dated 25.10.2014 under Sections 323/324/341/506/34 IPC and section 307 IPC added later on at Police Station Civil Lines, Patiala.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has argued that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not required. He is ready to cooperate with the investigating agency. Thus, concession of pre-arrest bail be extended to him.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner. FIR was registered on the basis of statement made by Bhagwant Singh. On 24.10.2014 at about 9.00 P.M., he was on the shop of a barber. At that time, he was called out of the shop and assaulted by all the accused. Petitioner Gurpreet Singh @ Kalu stabbed the complainant in the abdomen. Doctor opined that this injury could be dangerous to life.

CRM M-9212 of 2015 Under the circumstances, there is no ground to extend the concession of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner is made out. His custodial interrogation may be necessary to take investigation to its logical end. Dismissed.
