Prayer in this petition is for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus for tracing out petitioner's daughter in law i.e. alleged detenue namely Ravinder Kaur. It is submitted that petitioner's daughter in law was illegally picked up by respondents no.2 and 3 and taken to some unknown destination.

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from SI Harprem Singh, Police Station Mahilpur, District Hoshiarpur (Punjab) informs that the alleged detenue namely Ravinder Kaur is in fact an accused in FIR No.108 dated 06.06.2022, registered under Sections 21/22 of NDPS Act at Police Station Mahilpur, District Hoshiarpur and has been taken in custody in accordance with the provisions of law on 06.06.2022. Necessary intimation in this regard was given to the detenue's mother in law and husband. Alleged detenue was produced before the Illaqa Magistrate today itself i.e. 07.06.2022. In this view of the matter, it is submitted, this petition deserves to be dismissed.

CRWP No.5623 of 2022 (O&M) -2Petition is accordingly dismissed with liberty to the petitioner/alleged detenue to avail the remedies as may be available in accordance with law.
