(ORAL) Reply on behalf of respondents No.1 to 8 (by way of the affidavit of the Additional Director General of Police, Security, Punjab, Chandigarh) along-with Annexure R-1/T, has been submitted in the Court today and these documents are taken on the record. However, after arguing for a while, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the instant petition while submitting that if there need be in future, he would approach the competent authorities for seeking the protection of his life and liberty. Learned State counsel has no objection for the same. Resultantly, the petition in hand stands dismissed for having been withdrawn accordingly.
