  3)45  5 6  Present : Mr. Gursimran Singh, Advocate for the petitioners. Mr. K. S. Aulakh, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab. Ms. Amandeep Kaur, Advocate for Mr. D. S. Gandhi, Advocate for respondents No.2 to 4.      The instant petition is for quashing of FIR No.20 dated 03.02.2012 registered under Sections 307, 452, 323, 324, 427, 506, 148 and 149 IPC at Police Station Sadar Amritsar, District Amritsar City and the consequent proceedings arising out of the same, on the basis of written compromise (Annexure P73) arrived at between the parties.

Report has been received from learned ACJM, Amritsar after statements of the parties were recorded regarding the compromise. Learned ACJM has reported that the compromise is voluntary and without any pressure or coercion. Learned ACJM has also sent copy of the statements of the parties.      Learned counsel for the State on instructions submits that petitioners are the only accused and respondents no.2 to 5 are the only aggrieved person in this FIR.

No useful purpose would be served to keep the FIR pending.

In view of the statements and report of the trial Court and the principles laid down by the Full Bench judgment of this Court in

 , the instant petition is allowed and the aforesaid FIR and all consequent proceedings conducted on the basis thereof are quashed qua the petitioners.
