Learned counsel for the parties have stated that the parties to the lis have since entered into an amicable settlement and respondent No.3 - Insurance Company has agreed to settle the claim of the appellant by paying an enhanced amount of Rs.1,50,000/-, under all heads, over and above the amount awarded by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal. In view of the above, learned counsel for the appellant states that he does not want to pursue the appeal.

Learned counsel for respondent No.3 - Insurance Company has stated that the enhanced amount of Rs.1,50,000/- would be paid to the appellant by way of account payee cheques within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
