Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioners seeking directions to respondent(s) No.2 to grant protection of their life and liberty as they are having been in danger at the hands of police.

Learned counsel for the petitioners fairly conceded that FIR No. 272 dated 04.11.2018, registered under Section 379-B IPC at Police Station Division No. 8, District Jalandhar was lodged and none of the petitioner is an accused in the said case. Learned counsel further contended that petitioners made a representation dated 11.11.2018 (Annexure P2) to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, but the same remained unattended till now.
