(Oral) In the present writ petition, the petitioners are alleging the intentional and willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court dated 04.10.2019 in CWP No.15542 of 2019 (Annexure P-1) by the respondents. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that this Court vide order dated 04.10.2019 had issued directions to the respondents to decide legal notice dated 14.03.2019 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of the order. The allegations of the petitioner are that the speaking order, in terms of directions issued by this Court vide order dated 04.10.2019, is yet to be passed by the respondents and they are intentionally and willfully disobeying the order passed by this Court making themselves NARESH KUMAR 2020.08.25 18:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

COCP-1658 of 2020 -2liable to be proceeded against under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. Notice of motion.

Mr. Aditya Sharda, A.A.G, Punjab, who has joined the proceedings through video conference, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Learned counsel for the respondent on instructions from Navjeet Singh, Law Officer, Department of Education, Punjab submits that the matter is already under consideration and the order in terms of directions issued by this Court could not be passed within a time framed, keeping in view the pandemic of Covid-19 and now he has instructions to state that an appropriate order in terms of order dated 04.10.2019 passed by this Court in CWP No.15542 of 2019 (Annexure P-1) will be passed within a period of seven days from today.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the statement of the learned counsel for the respondent that an appropriate order, in terms of directions issued by this Court vide dated 04.10.2019 passed in CWP No.15542 of 2019 (Annexure P-1) will be passed within a period of seven days from today, he does not wish to press this contempt petition any further and the same may be disposed of as such. Disposed of as having been not pressed.
