Through the instant petition, prayer has been made for quashing of order dated 6.7.2023, whereby, the bail granted to the petitioner in case FIR No. 118 dated 7.7.2018, under Sections 21 and 22 of the NDPS Act, registered at Police Station Jandiala, District Amritsar, was canceled, and the bail bonds were ordered to be forfeited to the State, on account of the absence of the petitioner before the learned trial court concerned, who is facing the trial in the above said FIR.

CRM-M-24729-2024 submits that the petitioner is ready and willing to appear before the learned trial court concerned, in case an adequate protection is granted to him.

Be that as it may, considering the fact that there is only one default made by the petitioner, this Court directs the petitioner to surrender before the learned trial court concerned within 15 days from today. In case, the petitioner surrenders before the learned trial court concerned within 15 days, the learned trial court shall release the petitioner on regular bail, on furnishing fresh bail bonds, to its satisfaction.

Disposed of accordingly.
