Prayer in this petition under Section 482 Cr.PC is for directing respondent no.1 to conduct inquiry/investigation in case FIR No.67 dated 13.3.2023 under Sections 323,34, 354-A, 354-C, 498-A, 506 IPC and Section 313 and 376 IPC (added later on), PS Munak, District Karnal through some independent agency other than the local police, or to be conducted by any Central Agency.
Ld. Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is fatherin-law of the complainant. It is submitted that though petitioner has disinherited his son Gurcharan Singh and his daughter-in-law/complainant on 2.7.2022, yet the petitioner has been roped in unnecessarily and great harassment is being caused to him and therefore, it is prayed that in alternative "direction be issued to respondent no.2 to reinvestigate the matter by appointing a Special Investigation Team consisting of any other high ranking RAJINDER PARSHAD JOSHI 2023.07.26 11:15 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Counsel for the State on instructions from ASI Parveen Lata of PS Women Assandh submits that investigation in the matter is complete. Offence under Section 313 IPC has been deleted on 25.5.2023, challan is ready, and charges are yet to be framed. It is further submitted that investigation in the matter was conducted thoroughly and fairly by the Investigating Officer, and therefore, present petition is infructuous. Ld. Counsel for the complainant submits that petitioner has been granted regular bail by the court of ld. Additional Sessions Judge, Karnal on 12th of June 2023.
In view of these above said facts, which have not been disputed by the ld. Counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of as having become infructuous.
