Learned Senior counsel appearing on behalf of U.T.Chandigarh very fairly states that their Excise and Taxation Department shall wait for the result relating to the decision whether the shop, where the liquor vend is situated, is authorized under the Punjab New Capital (Periphery) Control Act, 1952 and submits that till that time the petitioner would be allowed to continue with the vending at the shop and upon conclusion and final decision if it is found that the shop is unauthorized, the petitioner would be given show cause notice to remove/relocate the shop/vend. 2.
We appreciate the statement and dispose of this writ petition in the aforesaid terms.
