In the present petition, the prayer of the petitioner is that in the Marks Statement-cum-Certificate, Senior School Certificate examination, 2024 (Annexure P-4), the name of the father of the petitioner has wrongly been mentioned as 'Gualb Singh' instead of 'Gulab Singh', which needs to be rectified.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the said factum has been brought to the notice of the authorities concerned by issuing legal notice dated 17.02.2025 (Annexure P-7), but the same is still pending consideration with the respondents which is causing prejudice to the petitioner and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a direction is issued to the respondents to decide the same by passing an appropriate RIYA 2025.04.30 17:19 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

On the asking of the Court, Mr. TPS Chawla, Sr. DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and submits that in case, the legal notice dated 17.02.2025 (Annexure P-7) has been received in the office of the concerned authorities and the same is still pending consideration with the authorities concerned, the same will be decided by the competent authority within a period of two weeks of the receipt of certified copy of this order by passing an appropriate speaking order and in case, the petitioner is found entitled for grant of any relief, the same will be granted to him, otherwise due reasons for not accepting the claim of the petitioner will be mentioned in the speaking order the said reasons will also be conveyed to the petitioner for his information and necessary action.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement of learned State counsel, the present petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed any further. 7.

Ordered accordingly.
