The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to release payment with respect to work carried out by it for the respondent along with interest @ 12% per annum.

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that admitted liability would be discharged within three months from today subject to verification.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent may be subjected to interest @ 12% per annum from the date of passing bills. 4.
In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent to release payment to the petitioner within three months from today. If payment is not released within aforesaid period, the respondent would be liable to pay interest @ 9% per annum from the expiry of said period. The petitioner is at liberty to approach appropriate authority qua disputed amount, if any. 5.
