Petitioner has approached this Court inter alia for issuance of a direction to Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) to sanction mutation in his favour to the extent of 50% share in a residential house in Phase 7, SAS Nagar (Mohali) on the basis of a registered Will dated 15.12.2021, Annexure P-1.

Advance copy of the petition has been served upon the respondents.

Ms. Avin Sandhu, Advocate, has put in appearance on behalf of GMADA and states that petitioner has not applied on the prescribed proforma. She has instructions to state that petitioner's sister-in-law (Bhabhi) has applied for transfer of 50% share in the residential property in her favour on the basis of another Will.

Faced with this situation, counsel for the petitioner states that petitioner would apply for grant of sanction on the prescribed proforma within a period of one month. In case he does so, GMADA shall examine the application and take a final decision whereon within a period of four months thereafter.
