CHANDIGARH CRM-M No.8460 of 2016 Date of decision: 22.02.2017 Talwinder Singh ....Petitioner
Versus
State of Punjab and another ....Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE REKHA MITTAL
Present:
None for the petitioner.
Mr. Mikhail Kad, AAG, Punjab.
REKHA MITTAL J. (Oral) Counsel for the petitioner has circulated an adjournment slip.
Perusal of the record would reveal that respondent No.2/complainant has already been served in the case but there is no representation on her behalf. The present petition has been filed for quashing of criminal proceedings on the basis of compromise. The very fact that respondent No.2 has not come present despite service negates plea of the petitioner that dispute has been settled by way of compromise.
Counsel for the State has apprised the Court that challan has been presented in the Court and charge has been framed. In view of the above, the petition is dismissed.
