JITENDRA CHAUHAN, J. (Oral) This petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been filed for issuance of appropriate directions or order to respondent Nos.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and further to ensure that no harassment and humiliation is caused to the petitioner by repeatedly calling him to the police station or by interfering with the duties of petitioner as Lambardar.

Heard.

As per para 6 of the preliminary submissions of the reply filed on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3, petitioner was asked to join investigation on the application made by one Satnam Singh and after hearing the parties, petitioner conveyed that complaint made against him is Virendra Singh Adhikari 2017.03.17 10:59 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh

of civil nature and his presence in the police station was not further warranted. Thereafter, he has never been called in the police station. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Narinder Kumar, states that as of now, the petitioner is neither involved in any other FIR nor his presence is required for any other purpose. Accordingly, since intended purpose of filing the present petition is achieved, no further order is warranted. Disposed of.
