Mr.Kirat Singh Sidhu,DAG Punjab with HC Jaswant Singh Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.10 dated 7.2.2016 under Section 379, 411,420, 473 IPC, PS SGN Dev Thermal Plant,Bathinda, District Bathinda. On a secret information,ASI Harjivan Singh lodged an FIR that the petitioner-accused alongwith his two co-accused Gursewak Singh @ Billa and Sandeep Singh @ Babbu were involved in stealing the vehicles from the Car Bazar on the pretext of test drive and thereby changing the number plates.

It was contended that the other two co-accused have been apprehended at the spot while except the allegations in the FIR, there is no incriminating material available showing the complicity of the RAJINDER PRASHAD JOSHI 2016.05.04 11:24 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M 8478/2016 petitioner. Petition is stated to be not involved in any other criminal activity.

Vide order dated 14.3.2016 while issuing notice of motion, petitioner was granted interim protection and directed to join investigation as and when called upon to do so. At the time of hearing today,learned State counsel, on instructions, submits that petitioner has joined investigation and his custodial interrogation is no longer required. In view of the above, interim bail/protection granted vide order dated 14.3.2016 is made absolute.
