HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AMOL RATTAN SINGH HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE LALIT BATRA *****
***** AMOL RATTAN SINGH, J. (ORAL) Vide this petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents no.1 to 7, i.e. the State authorities, to get illegal mining stopped in the land as has been described in the prayer clause of the petition, with such illegal mining allegedly being undertaken by respondent no.8. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at this stage the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the competent authority amongst the respondents to take a decision on his representations Annexures P-3 to P-10 within a time bound manner; because, as as per his allegation, such illegal mining is causing irreparable damage to the petitioners' land, which is stated to be adjacent to the land in question.
