The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to produce complete CCTV footage/video recordings of Police Station Purani Sabzi Mandi, Rohtak for the period from 23.08.2025 at 12:00 PM to 24.08.2025 at 01:00 PM before this Court.

The petitioner was implicated in FIR No.0177 dated 24.07.2025 under Sections 78, 79, 319, 351(3), 352 and 356 (2) of BNS, 2023 registered at PS Purani Sabzi Mandi, Rohtak. In compliance of notice under Section 35(3) of BNSS, he appeared before the investigating officer on 23.08.2025. He was arrested within the precincts of the police station on 23.08.2025 and was confined in police station till 24.08.2025. CWP-11827-2026 -2been recorded by CCTV cameras installed in and outside the police station. In order to secure the same, he filed an application dated 10.11.2025 under RTI Act which was followed by appeal but to no avail. He has preferred CRM-M-54447-2025 challenging his arrest which is pending adjudication before this Court.

The petitioner has already preferred CRM-M-54447-2025 before this Court seeking declaration that arrest was illegal. The petitioner has remedy to approach Magistrate for preservation or presentation of CCTV footage as FIR stands registered. 4.

In the backdrop, the petition stands disposed of with liberty to petitioner to avail remedy as permissible by law. 5.
