This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution praying for issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus directing official respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner as well as his family from the hands of accused persons and their associates related to the case FIR No. 59 dated 20.02.2020 under Sections 307,323,34 and 452 of IPC and under Section 25 of Arms Act registered at Police Station Butana District Karnal wherein the petitioner and his family are victim and witnesses in the case FIR and also direct official respondents to restore the police protection of the petitioner and his family. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has preferred a representation dated 16.02.2026 (Annexure P-3) to respondent No.2- Superintendent of Police, District Karnal, Haryana but no action has been taken so far. Learned counsel submits that he would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.2- Superintendent of Police, District Karnal, Haryana to look into his representation/complaint and take appropriate steps at the earliest.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties. 6.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited prayer made by the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2- Superintendent of Police, District Karnal, Haryana to consider and decide the representation dated 16.02.2026 (Annexure P-3) of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and pass an appropriate order.
