Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking anticipatory bail in FIR No. 45 dated 18.2.2015 under Section 364 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station Sultanwind, Amritsar City, District Amritsar.
Prosecution story, in brief, is that Arwinder Kumar Soni, brother of the complainant was a goldsmith. On 29.10.2014, Arvinder Kumar had gone to the shop of the petitioner for taking ornaments. On that day, there was an altercation between Arvinder Kumar Soni and the petitioner. However, Arvinder Kumar Soni was missing since 29.10.2014.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner was innocent and has been falsely involved in this case.
Learned State counsel, on the other hand, has opposed the petition and has submitted that petitioner is required for GURPREET SINGH 2015.09.03 15:34 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

In the present case, as per the allegations in the FIR, Arvinder Kumar Soni had gone to the shop of the petitioner on 29.10.2014 and has not been traced thereafter. Petitioner is required for custodial interrogation.
Since the allegations levelled against the petitioner are serious in nature, no ground for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner is made out.
Dismissed.
