(Oral) By way of filing present writ petition, petitioner is seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No. 2 to decide the election petition titled as Bal Krishan vs. Dilbagh Singh and others, pending since 17.01.2019, in a time bound manner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the month of December, 2019, the elections of the Panchayat level were declared for which the petitioner along with respondent No. 2 and two other candidates had filled the nomination forms for the post of Sarpanch of the village Depur. The petitioner was the candidate of General Category for the post of Sarpanch in the Gram Panchayat village Elections held on 30.12.2018 and was allotted the symbol of BAT. The petitioner was declared to have 350 votes and respondent No.
3 was declared to have 353 votes. The petitioner requested for recounting of votes but it was refused and hence petitioner filed Election petition, which is still pending before respondent No. 2. GAURAV ARORA 2021.08.
