[The aforesaid presence is being recorded through video conferencing since the proceedings are being conducted in virtual Court] Petitioners, who own one tractor each allege that their vehicles have been illegally detained by the Mining Officer, Mines and Geology Department, Yamuna Nagar-respondent no.3, vide Seizure Memo dated 6.6.2020 (P-7) while they were engaged in carrying soil from Kude Wala, Khasra No.5//23 (3 kanal) on behalf of one Lukman who has been granted a permit under Rule 31 of the Haryana Minor Mineral Concession, Stocking and Transportion of Minerals and Prevention of Illegal Mining Rules,2012. Aggrieved against the seizure of the tractors, petitioners filed appeal before the Director General, Mines and Geology Department,Haryanarespondent no.2 on 18.6.2020 (P-8). The said appeal has not yet been decided. Prayer in the present petition is to direct respondent RAJINDER PARSHAD JOSHI 2020.09.02 14:19 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Mr.Ankur Mittal,Addl. Advocate General,Haryana, on instructions states that the appeal (P-8) filed by the petitioners shall be decided by the authority concerned within a period of ten days from today.
In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.2 to decide the appeal (P-8)filed by petitioners within a period of 30 days from today by passing a speaking order in accordance with law.
