SUVIR SEHGAL, J. (Oral) The petitioner is seeking regular bail in FIR No.15 dated 01.03.2019 under Section 22 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 registered at Police Station Kotfatta, District Bathinda.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 01.03.2019 and there is no other case pending against him. The trial is likely to take sometime to conclude. On instructions from SI Ajaib Singh, learned State counsel has submitted that challan was presented on 12.04.2019 and charges were framed on 29.04.2019. The next date before the trial Court is 20.03.2020. No PW has been examined.

Without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
