NIRMALJIT KAUR, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in complaint case No.NACT 39/2020 dated 15.01.2019, (Annexure P-1), under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

It is stated that the petitioner has been declared proclaimed offender on 14.12.2019 for not putting in appearance before the trial Court in spite of service having been effected upon him. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to appear before the trial Court within ten days from today. In case he surrenders before the trial Court within ten days from today, he shall be released on regular bail on furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the concerned Court/Duty Magistrate.
